Reviewing resales and rentals at Skybridge

Skybridge, 737 W Washington St, Chicago

Skybridge had already reached sellout by the time I arrived at YoChicago at the end of 2007, so I’ve never had a reason to write about the building until now. I caught a glimpse of it this morning on my way to work (not that it’s too hard to spot to begin with, being the tallest building west of the Kennedy Expressway), and decided to check up on the number of resales and rentals listed there.

For such a large building, there are actually very few homes listed at Skybridge, 737 W Washington St in the West Loop. Eleven units are currently for sale (including two short sales), and five are available to rent. I compiled the price points and square footage for those units in the spreadsheet below, along with extra data about the tower’s amenities, developers, and architect.

Assessments have been a topic of great interest around here lately, so here’s something to chew on: Among the 11 homes for sale, monthly assessments and association fees range anywhere from $390 to $1,500 a month. Assessments cover heat and A/C, water, gas, parking, common insurance, security, door staff, TV and cable, clubhouse, exercise facilities, exterior maintenance, scavenger, and snow removal.
