Row2750: Just waiting on the weather

From the sound of it, all that LG Development needs to get started on Row2750 is some clear ground and warm weather. LG principal Brian Goldberg touched base with me this morning to say that the 11-unit townhouse / duplex project at 2750 N Lakewood Ave is still moving forward, despite missing the mark for groundbreaking a couple times this fall.

“Got our permit, financing 100%, and a few presales, just waiting for the weather to break so we can begin excavation,” Goldberg writes.

Row2750’s nine Hartshorne Plunkard-designed townhouses ranged from $1.19 million to $1.39 million when we learned about them last summer. One three-bedroom duplex with 2,972 square feet is priced in the $990s, and a two-bedroom duplex with 1,791 square feet is listed in the $690s.

I’m really looking forward to this one getting off (above?) the ground. It’s another great alternative to some of the “safer” postmodern developments in the area. (There’s a particularly heinous gabled strip mall just around the corner.)

These weather delays always worry me. 100% financing but only a few presales? Hope it happens because it’s a nice design.
