Joe, this is my favorite building, although I think Larry Booth has something wonderful planned for Edgewater Beach. I’d like to see some pictures of this one at night. The illumination of the south elevation is fabulous and I have to admit I will slow the Edens to a crawl to spend a moment taking it all in.

Check out David Hovey’s even better work at Optima Camelview near Camelback Mountain in Scottsdale, AZ. It’s dripping in lushly landscaped terraces and heavy with wood panel accents.

Stokes,

It’s easy to seem better when you have mountains for a backdrop.

I’ve only seen the photos and video at CamelView Village’s Web page, but it appears to be a stunning project.

Is 5440 still a go? I’d heard it was DOA.

SheridanB,

As of about 10 days ago I was told “DOA” by someone who had been close to the deal and whose opinion I value. That doesn’t, as we all know, make it a fact.

I heard it from someone at Booth Hansen… Which is too bad, both from people getting put to work building it and from there still being a vacant lot there.
