I don’t know which is more amusing – The Chicago Architecture Blog‘s characterizing the Streeterville Organization of Active Residents (SOAR) as ” local NIMBY group SOAR (Seniors Opposed to Anything, Really)” or SOAR’s Reillyesque letter to award-winning architect David Hovey haughtily announcing that it was “underwhelmed by the design” of his proposed apartment tower at “this premier location in downtown Chicago,” the northeast corner of Illinois and St Clair.
