Stuff that sells: A look at the last seven days

According to Redfin, 204 single-family homes, townhomes, and condos have closed in Chicago in the past seven days. Here are a few fast facts about what’s selling.

Most expensive: $3.46 million for a 5,200 square-foot penthouse at The Fordham, 25 E Superior St. That’s $666 a square foot, the highest price per square foot for the week.

Least expensive: $5,000 for a 1,050 square-foot, four-bedroom unit at 402 N Avers Ave. That’s $5 a square foot, the lowest price per square foot for the week.

Biggest difference in list and sale prices: A 2,500 square foot condo at 5356 S Michigan Ave that was listed for $58,900 in June and sold for $96,000 on November 11. That’s a 63% markup in price.
