The Walk Score champ of Lincoln Park

Lincoln Park Plaza, 600 W Diversey Pkwy, ChicagoOne easy-to-miss feature of our rental guides is our decision to link each building’s address to a corresponding map at WalkScore.com. Yesterday afternoon I checked the Walk Score profiles for the 11 apartment buildings listed in our guide to renting in Lincoln Park, and added together each address’ Walk Score and Transit Score to determine which development had the most overall conveniences nearby.

All of the buildings benefit from a lot of neighborhood amenities nearby, but the one with the highest points total is Lincoln Park Plaza, located at 600 W Diversey Pkwy (just east of the five-corner intersection of Diversey, Clark, and Broadway), which has a 95 (“Walker’s Paradise”) Walk Score and an 81 (“Excellent Transit”) Transit Score. Along with the stores and restaurants found along the area’s three major thoroughfares, the building is steps away from three bus stops, a half-mile from the Diversey Brown / Purple Line station, and three-quarters of a mile from the Fullerton Red / Brown / Purple Line station.

According to Apartments.com, Lincoln Park Plaza has one-bedrooms with 650 to 700 square feet, priced from $1,295 to $1,395 a month, and two-bedrooms with 950 to 1,200 square feet, priced from $1,695 to $1,795 a month. Floor plans, photos, and descriptions of amenities are available at Lincoln Park Plaza’s website.
