Last Friday, Scott Hoskins of CMK Realty invited me and Joe Zekas down to 235 Van Buren to take a walk around some of the tower’s lower residential floors. As we’ve reported several times in the past couple of months, CMK Companies hopes to start closing and delivering units on these floors by late April or early May.
Our first stop in the Ralph Johnson-designed tower was the 16th floor, where Scott was able to show off some fully drywalled units and point out some of the views to the north and east. We also met a crew of workers on break, one of whom talked about what sets 235 apart from other projects on which he’s worked. (Two words: exposed concrete.)
Keep an eye out for the second and third segments from our trip, in which we make our way up as high as the 25th floor.
