Who better to give the lowdown on Lincoln Park than the people who live there? Last week, we interviewed a random sampling of Lincoln Parkers to get their impressions of the neighborhood. Here’s the first in our series:
Brooke Timmerman, 31, has been living in Lincoln Park for six years. She moved to Chicago from Santa Monica, and she lives in a single-family home with her husband and two kids.
“I’ve lived in three different places in Chicago but have always stayed in Lincoln Park,” she says. “First I was single, and then I had two kids and I saw a whole different side to it. There’s a good mix of families and young people.”
She likes the parks in the area and that she can walk nearly everywhere. Grocer Trader Joe’s, 1840 N Clybourn Ave, is one of her favorite places to shop.
