Photography. All of YoChicago’s content taps into its archive of 100s of 1,000s of original images to showcase apartment communities and their immediate environment in a visually appealing way.

Comprehensive at-a-glance apartment lists include summary information about every 12+ unit property in a neighborhood, with a link to the property’s website or YoChicago review, and a YoChicago video tour of the property where available. We also maintain a complete list of new and proposed downtown apartment projects in varying stages of progress. We deliberately exclude properties that have a history of not providing renters with a satisfactory experience.

Themed lists include properties with special features that are sought after by renters, e.g. indoor pools, extensive fitness facilities, gigabit internet connections.

Best in the neighborhood lists offer our take on the best buildings in selected neighborhoods on each of 18 different criteria, ranging from proximity to grocery shopping to views.

Apartment reviews provide renters a link to the community’s website and a structured, in-depth, objective overview of the community’s amenities, units, services and location. Reviews typically include YoChicago’s original aerial, exterior, interior and neighborhood photography.

Neighborhood info and maps. YoChicago has nearly 170 frequently-visited neighborhood pages that contain accurate boundary descriptions and maps, and links to neighborhood apartment videos, reviews and posts.

Deals & finds pages list, by neighborhood, current incentive offers and infrequently-available or special-feature apartments available from YoChicago advertisers. These pages are among YoChicago’s most heavily-trafficked, and we expect their popularity to grow in 2016.

Guides provide renters in-depth information about a specific topic, e.g. renting in Lincoln Park. In 2016 we will add an authoritative guide for first-time renters in near-lakefront apartment communities.
