1010 West Monroe opts for symmetry, sun

1010 West Monroe 1010 West MonroeIn our most recent swing through the West Loop, Joe and I noticed that Domus Group‘s 1010 West Monroe has come a long way since our last construction update, and it appears to be nearing completion. There was no marketing or sales info on site, and we haven’t had any luck contacting a sales manager, but it didn’t look like any of the condos were inhabited yet.

In the course of our search, we did discover two different pages for for the building on Domus’ Web site. Each has different renderings, and both look pretty different from the finished product. We linked to the project’s “2007” page in a construction update from last August, with a rendering featuring an “asymmetrical natural wood shading system” on the balconies (shown below, at left).

The artwork from the current 1010 West Monroe page (bottom right) doesn’t showcase these wood panels, although a list of project specs still includes the shading system as a standard feature.

There are 15 units in 1010 West Monroe, and there seem to be four different floor plans. Last we checked, most of the units were about 1,600 square feet, and prices ranged from the $480s to the $580s.
