Three months ago, I ragged on 1620 South Michigan when it was still under construction for being a serious letdown, but now I’m ready to eat my hat. It’s still not quite as snazzy as the rendering makes it look, but now that the CMK Companies‘ building is finished, it looks much more impressive, thanks mostly to the frosted glass balconies and painted concrete. The development has 249 studio through three-bedroom condos and ground-floor retail space, which has yet to be filled. Prices range from the $280s to the $440s.
