Going, going, almost gone. Developer Amrik Patel plans to tear down the vintage Nortown Theater, 6326 N. Western Ave., seen here in this photo from the Adam Martin collection, taken from Cinema Tour. Patel will replace the old theater with Nortown Theater Residences, a glassy $50 million building designed by VOA Associates. The building will contain about 70 one- and two-bedroom condos, priced from the $220s. In a nod to the local Indian community, the new structure also will house two Bollywood cinemas, along with ground floor retail.
