When we saw a real estate sign dangling out the front of this property, at 1540 W Fullerton Ave, we crossed our fingers that it wasn’t going to be an adapative reuse project. CenterStone Development Group is tearing down this old building and replacing it with The Legacy, a mid-rise red brick development of 18 three-bedroom condos. The homes will be priced from the $600s to the $670s, according to Ray Fakhouri of marketing agent, At Properties. The development is just down the street from Ashton Lofts, so there’s a bit of teardown-action along this busy street at the moment. We’re yet to see a rendering (other than the small one you can see on the real estate sign in this photo), but this old building doesn’t set the bar too high.
