SCB's design puts the "view" in ParkView

Lahey took advantage of the fact that the 47-story high-rise would be adjacent to a 74,000-square-foot park, and designed generous cutaways at the top and bottom of the building. “The large site allowed us to experiment with floor plates and view corridors, so that we were able to optimize the use of the interior space and the views afforded the residents,” Lahey told New Homes Magazine writer Dan Schuyler.

And what views they are. The tower gazes out on a multi-tiered park, designed by San Francisco-based landscape architect Hargreaves Associates. Throw in the lake and the skyline, and you’ve got quite a room with a view.

Lahey says the blue glass and vertical and horizontal copper metal bands on ParkView’s elevation will reflect light, splashing color across the façade. MCL is fond of the blue-and-copper combo, judging from its RiverView high-rises. ParkView’s one-, two- and three-bedroom condos range from 921 to 1,803 square feet. Units are priced from the $380s to the $970s, and 60 percent are sold. Deeded parking is $55,000. Delivery is scheduled for late winter or early spring of 2008.
