Sometimes, just sometimes, building inspectors like what they find when they inspect a home. Yo’s resident building inspector, Tom Corbett, who owns the Chicago-based property-inspection company Tomacor, Inc. calls it the “wow factor,” or his “moment of Zen”. Corbett writes a column for our affiliated magazine New Homes. This month Tom shares with readers the things that make him exclaim “wow” when he inspects a home. Check out his column – after all, you’ve got to look not only for clues to things that could go wrong in your new home, it also pays to look for the subtle signs that a developer has produced something of good quality.
