Joe Zekas went to East Garfield Park yesterday to check out the single-family home at 2715 W Adams St and to chat with developers Steve Barron and Mark Higginson and marketing agent Pam Gecan. This house was the subject of a “deal of the day” post last month, because Barron and Higginson plan to give the buyer $1,500 a month for two years to go toward the house’s mortgage. Barron and Higginson talk about that incentive and their hopes for the neighborhood in this video.
Barron, as you will see, is the source of our favorite new phrase: “stunningly soft market.” He goes into further detail about this market and the advice he would give his college-bound daughter about home buying in a second video, which we’ll post on Yo in the near future.
