A Realtor and a builder talk about home staging

Home staging is a relatively new phenomenon in the real estate market, and not everyone has become aware of its value. Realtors who use stagers, however, contend that it can have a dramatic impact on the market time for a home, especially in today’s crowded, highly competitive market.

Real estate agent Tonia DeWaela of Ryan Hill Realty has seen homes that she’s had staged sell months faster than comparable homes at the same price point. She convinced a skeptical builder, Frank Miulli, to stage his newly-built luxury home at 3 Baker Ln in Naperville, which is priced at $1,150,000.

We took some before and after views of the home, and paused for a chat with Tonia and Frank in its open, bright family room. Frank, as you’ll see in the video, was pleasantly surprised by the results.

Frank and Tonia also shared their experience in working with the team responsible for the home’s transformation, Brook Furniture Rental (the sponsor of this video) and Naperville-based Simply Staging.
