Mies had Streeterville, and it looks like Brininstool + Lynch has the South Loop. Piedmont Group, who developed the West Loop’s Lofthaus with architects B+L, plans to build a modern 25-story high-rise called Glashaus at 1327 S Wabash Ave. The building, the design of which might be called either a complement or a copy of the architects’ nearby 1720 S. Michigan, will have 262 condos with one or two bedrooms and 700 to 1,200 square feet. Amenities include a fitness center, community room, office center, landscaped sundeck, car detailing bay and 12,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space. It’s still too early for prices, but we’ll keep you updated as the project progresses.
