A woebegotten Yo reader recently admonished the big brick boxes built in Chicago’s less architecturally adventurous neighborhoods. While it’s not exactly spectacular, Lake View’s planned MetroNorth looks like it may make some slight improvements on the mid-size condo box formula, with an exaggerated corner linking the building’s two main sides, one of which has an angled addition to the rooftop; the other side has some mildly inventive balconies. The development, located at 3946 N Ravenswood Ave, has two-bedroom condos priced from the $380s to the $530s. A sales center is located at 1800 W Larchmont Ave.
