Maybe the saddest part of decorating your rented apartment is all those stark white walls. In our experience, even a green light to paint from your landlord usually means a hefty chunk of your security deposit missing down the road, and nailing up art can leave holes that will nibble away at your deposit as well. Enter Apartment Therapy and the story of Bri and Chad (they would be named that). When Bri and Chad moved into their rental they got all creative and covered one wall with Post-Its. The project: cheap, quick, security-deposit-safe. The result: texture and yellow walls. Bri and Chad insist the Post-its have been holding up strong since January.
