Are South Loop high-rises cut from the same cloth?

If the South Loop is such a hot market, why do so many of the high-rises along South Michigan Avenue have the blues? Buildings like Museum Park Lofts (left), 1819 South Michigan (right), its neighbor on the 1800 block and the forthcoming Azure Tower (both pictured inside) all feature similar bluish glass and tones. Do these icy colors contribute to an attractive motif, or is design in the practically brand-new neighborhood already starting to repeat itself?
