Crain’s is reporting that the Cook County Assessor’s Office – presumably with a straight face – says that Governor Blagojevich’s property was fairly assessed, despite the fact that his tax assessment increased far less (1% vs 36%) than his neighbors.
Presumably that means that the Guv was treated like anyone else who is well-connected politically. In Chicago, some things never change.
