Down the street from Shoemaker Lofts sits Metropolitan Development‘s attractive Belmont Lofts, located at 4131 W Belmont Ave. The four-story building was built in 1937 and housed a factory, a DeVry University school and a warehouse before its makeover. The development now holds 54 lofts with one or two bedrooms, exposed ductwork, polished concrete columns and 12-foot ceiling heights.
