Central Station becomes renter-friendly with Sky55

Major rental high-rises have become rare events in the city during the last decade, even as dozens and dozens of condo towers transform the skyline. So, while we’re talking about new apartment towers, such as Fifield’s Residences at Left Bank, we felt we should mention Sky55, at 1255 S Michigan Ave, in Central Station.

The 40-story tower has one-bedrooms priced from $1,503 to $2,554;two-bedrooms from $1,896 to $3,416; and 23 two-bedroom penthouses priced from $2,165 to $4,614. The first residents have moved into the new tower. Lest they feel like the poor kids in class as the first renters at Central Station, Sky55 has a long list of amenities worthy of any condo high-rise, including errand services, auto detailing and travel services.
