Floor-to-ceiling windows aren’t just for high-rises and mid-rises. Well, maybe they are, but lots of new condo flats on the North Side and South Side are trying their best with tall, expansive windows that run nearly the entire width of the buildings and are oh so stylish.
Azure, at 3565 S King Dr, in Bronzeville (pictured left) goes one step further, adding a skinny balcony in front of the windows, while 1512 West Victoria , in Edgewater, (pictured right) intensifies the competition for a smooth facade by tucking the entrance into the side of the building, making it almost impossible to spot from the street. Two- and three-bedrooms at Azure are priced from the $220s to the $350s. The last unit at 1512 W Victoria St just sold, but two-bedrooms there were priced from the $320s to the $350s. A distinct buyer advantage to this much glass – you can learn a lot about the units without ever leaving the curb.
