Developer Steve Lipe has been acutely aware of the fact that builders aren’t always given a warm welcome in Pilsen – thus the name of his latest residential projects in the area, Chantico Lofts (a conversion) and Chantico South (nine new-construction lofts). In honor of Cinco de Mayo and in the service of public relations, Lipe Property Company will commemorate the Battle of Puebla with the unveiling of an Oscar Romero mural of Chantico, Aztec goddess of home and hearth.
The festivities, which include cocktails, appetizers and mural presentation, will be held at the Chantico Lofts Sales Center, 1061 W 16th St, Thursday, May 3, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. When last we checked, remaining Chantico Lofts units were priced from the $260s, and Chantico South condos were priced from the $200s.
