Chicago’s top five architecture blogs

The city that’s known for great architecture is fortunate to have a cadre of bloggers who focus on the rich heritage of our built environment and proposals to add to or subtract from it.

Chicago’s architecture bloggers often express themselves forcefully and bluntly, as you’d expect from people who have a high regard and an abiding concern for their subject matter.

My top five favorites:

  • Lynn Becker, ArchitectureChicago Plus
  • Lee Bey, Beyond the Boat Tour
  • Jim and Mitch, designslinger
  • Cityscapes, with Cheryl Kent and Ron Grossman subbing for Blair Kamin
  • Wayne Lorentz, Chicago Architecture Blog
  • If there’s a site that you feel should have been on my list, tell us why in a comment, bearing in mind that my primary criteria included a) a focus on Chicago architecture, b) frequent updates and c) largely original content.

You’ll find stories from dozens of local, regional and national architecture sites at our Chicago Real Estate News page.
