Circa-1880s Lincoln Park rowhomes go condo

The Manor Homes on Belden

Ahh, 1888 — it was a very good year. National Geographic begins publication, Auguste Rodin sculpts “The Thinker,” the first deodorant is trademarked, and the homes at 538 W Belden Ave are built in Lincoln Park. Now, long after those other things have faded into obscurity, the Lincoln Park homes are being renovated into The Manor Homes on Belden, a conversion with 12 simplex and duplex condos. Units have one or two bedrooms, exposed brick walls, stained glass windows, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, marble bathrooms and hardwood floors. Some units have wood-burning fireplaces or decks. Koenig & Strey has the homes priced from the $340s.
