Here’s a two-fer for your Monday morning: new shots from a couple of West Loop projects.
Mod continues to take shape in the 1200 block of West Madison Street, as you can see in the picture above. A good deal of brick has even gone up along the western side of the building, located at 1222 – 1224 W Madison St. It shouldn’t be long before that blazing canary yellow gives way to the glass and red panels that will adorn its facade.
The 56-unit building represents Mod’s first phase; a second, 36-unit building is scheduled to go up at a later date. Prices at last check ran from the $280s for one-bedroom homes to the $490s for two-bedrooms with dens.
The Brixton Group‘s C/A 23 (seen below) isn’t as far along as Mod, but this is the first time I’ve visited the site at 23 N Aberdeen St since actual construction began. Its first 24 two- to four-bedroom residences will be finished this fall. This spring, those homes were selling from the $660s to $1.6 million.
As with Mod, C/A 23 should see another phase of construction down the road.
