While nearby Vetro makes glass its most prominent feature, the South Loop’s Printers Corner relies more heavily on concrete to achieve its strong, sturdy look. The building has been topped off and most of the windows applied, and workers have started encasing that colossal parking base in dark brick, the hallmark material of Printers Row. About 69 percent of the Winthrop Properties development’s 88 condos have sold, according to FireStar Communications sales manager Timon Bernstein. Remaining one- to three-bedroom units are priced from the $280s to the $470s.
