Converge nabs Good Neighbor Award

Converge, 744 W Fullerton Ave

Our last sales update for Peak Development‘s Converge condominiums revealed sparked some rather negative reactions, with several readers lamenting the room sizes in some of the homes and the execution of the building’s original design.

For what it’s worth, the Chicago Association of Realtors thinks the project is all right. According to a media release from Peak Development, Converge received one of CAR’s 2008 Good Neighbor Awards, presumably for improving the appearance of the 700 block of West Fullerton Avenue.

744 W Fullerton Ave was a site formerly occupied by the Parkway Tavern, which was left vacant following its closing in 2005. Peak and Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture demolished the old tavern and designed and built the five-story, 16-unit condominium building in its place.

Remaining two-bedroom / two-bath units at Converge are selling in the $410s to the $450s.
