Developer Amrit Patel says he has financing in place and expects an Oct. 19 hearing before the Chicago Plan Commission for his plans to turn the Nortown Theater, 6320 N Western Ave, into a six-story building with 70 condos and two small theaters showing Indian and Pakistani films, according to a story in today’s Chicago Sun-Times.
