Ald. Dick Mell (33rd) says Albany Park residents are complaining about the “pornographic nature” of sculptures planned for the Kimball el stop on the CTA’s Brown Line in today’s Chicago Sun-Times. He vowed to fight the 10-foot sculptures by Ravenswood artist Josh Garber, who insists the pieces represent only hope and renewal. An Albany Park resident familiar with the issue framed it this way: “Is that hope and renewal, or are you just happy to see me?”
