Green features are being a little more prevalent in high-rises these days, but they aren’t as common in new mid-rise buildings, so we were interested to hear about Living Green Lofts, a new-construction “loft” project at 1501 E 65th St.
Enviro-friendly features of the one- to three-bedroom units include energy-efficient windows, bamboo floors, some solar heating and green garage roofs. The units also have lofty exposed ductwork. “We want to suggest that building green doesn’t have to mean you live in a strange, futuristic environment,” says Pamela Holt of marketing agent reChgo. The units are priced from the $180s to the $360s. The developer, Woodlawn Partners, LLC did not seek LEED certification, Holt says.
