Exciting Marina City condos offer hookers, fires, lawsuits and fake flowers

Click for larger imageYou just knew there was something seamy going on inside funky, futuristic Marina City, the twin riverfront towers whose corncob shape and hive-like layout seem to invite voyeurism and scrutiny of the lives within.

Former New Yorker and current Marina City resident Mike Doyle invites his own share of scrutiny as he writes about everything from a resident lawsuit against the condo board to “fires, floods and water pressure poop-outs” to fake flower updates to the resident dentist accused of aiding a prostitution ring from the premises.

That’s right, in one of the more bizarre condo stories we’ve heard lately, a dentist resident of Marina City allegedly took more than $400,000 to supply luxury cars, dental work and Marina City apartments he owned for a prostitution ring operating in several states.
