The development team behind The Superior at LaSalle is planning another River North condo project – this time a 16-story boutique building at 100 W Huron St. Affinity Development and KBL Construction Co., Inc. recently began marketing James Place from a sales center in The Superior at LaSalle, which is about 65 percent sold.
James Place originally called for 42 condos priced from the $560s to about $700,000, with a couple of penthouses going for nearly $1.18 million. Plans have changed, though, according to Sales Manager Michelle Bank, because buyers want to combine units for larger spaces. Now, instead of four units on most floors, two per floor will be standard.
Amenities at James Place will include 24-hour door staff, a wine cellar, an exercise room, two elevators, deeded garage parking and private storage. Units will have “private terraces,” 10-foot ceiling heights, oak floors in living areas, Brookhaven cabinetry by Wood-Mode, solid-core doors and laundries with full-sized stackable washers and dryers.
The builder plans to break ground in November, with first deliveries scheduled for spring 2009, according to the project’s Web site.
