The flap over “freedom fries” and avoidance of all things French by some Americans does not seem to have affected residential real estate in Chicago. In a post yesterday we wrote about The Vivant, and now we’ve come across La Riviére, a 15-unit townhome community on the river. That’s the Chicago River, not the Seine. CenterStone Development Group is building the homes at 2825 N Oakley Ave, just north of Diversey. The townhomes have four bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms and private rooftop terraces, centered around a landscaped courtyard. Let’s hope this community experiences more social harmony than France has of late.
