Hawthorne Point condos makes the most of its balconies

Peak Construction has made the most of this building’s setback to add balconies that face north and south and have some shelter, instead of facing west onto busy Ashland Avenue. Hawthorne Point, 1511 W Cullom St, has 20 units with two or three bedrooms and two baths, priced from the $240s. The project is using the Cullom Street address no doubt because it’s a quiet side street, even though most of the building fronts Ashland, but given the lushly landscaped medians and new streetscaping that have beautified what used to be an ugly street, seems like an Ashland address would be much less of a drawback than it used to be.

It’s hard to see in this shot below, but there’s also some nice detailing at the roof line.
