The Mortgage Fraud Blog is a good way to keep current on litigation around the country against dishonest mortgage brokers.
It rarely reports on Illinois cases and my theory on that is that our fair state is radicallly ineffective at enforcing its laws – linois certainly has more than its fair share of mortgage fraud.
The blog reports today that the Illinois Attorney General’s office recently filed suit against 3 unlicensed mortgage brokers – involving the same players against whom previous suits are currently pending.
