The inventive River North restaurant Le Lan, a collaboration between chefs Roland Licciono and Arun Sampanthavivat, is offering a $20.06 two-course menu beginning on Jan. 4 and running Mondays through Thursdays until Jan. 19.
You pick your entree (the chefs pick the accompanying side dishes) and dessert, and you fork over a twenty-spot. In other words, this is a deal. Entree choices might include Braised Beef Short Ribs or Curried Salmon. For dessert, perhaps a Pear Spring Roll with Pecan Creme Brulee and Pomegranate Gelee, or a Chocolate Banana Tort with Satsuma Sherbet. Go get it.
