Lee Bey leaves SOM

We just learned, via architecture writer Lynn Becker’s always informative Architecture Chicago Plus site, that former Sun-Times architecture critic Lee Bey has resigned his position with Skidmore Owings and Merrill.

That news prompted us to revisit Lee’s site, which is a treasure trove of information and photos of some of Chicago’s neglected South Side architectural heritage. See, for example, Lee’s look at Pride Cleaners, which he calls a “modernist landmark in Chicago’s Chatham community.”
