You might remember that Mark visited the Solstice on the Park sales center in Hyde Park shortly after it opened in May and brought back footage of the project’s model. Yesterday, we received some new photos of that model, which Antheus Capital built to represent one of the high-rise’s three-bedroom / 3.5-bath condos.
As we’ve reported numerous times, Jeanne Gang’s design incorporates angled floor-to-ceiling windows and overhangs that will take advantage of seasonal sunlight, keeping condos warm and well-lit in the winter and cool and shaded in the summer.
Waveland Kendt of @properties admitted during Mark’s tour that the views from a Solstice bedroom won’t exactly resemble the ones you see in the bedroom photo below. That’s not too hard to figure out, given the position of the lake throughout the room’s various windows. I’m more curious about that terrible crosshatched wallpaper – is than an upgrade, or will it come standard?
The 28-story building, planned for 5526 – 5540 S Cornell Ave, will feature 147 two-and three-bedroom homes with 1,550 to 4,200 square feet. Prices range from the $480s to $2.55 million, with garage parking available from $30,000.
