A couple of days ago we called attention to the proliferation of financing and option incentives that home builders are offering buyers.
We’re also seeing a flurry of extra compensation offers from builders to real estate agents.
Town & Country Homes, for example, is offering 4% (vs the customary 2.5%) to agents who bring a buyer to its Providence townhomes project. It’s in Elgin, which Town & Country makes you dig to learn. Wonder why. And, yeah, we know they call it a “community” rather than a project.
If you’re a suburban new construction buyer, it might be a good idea to pick up a real estate agent (they’re not hard to find) and ask for a piece of that 4% for yourself.
