Northbrook in the movies

There’s only one thing that screams “The ’80s” more than hair mousse. (Wait…there are two things because I just thought of Members Only jackets.)

But the other number one thing is John Hughes movies! He graduated from Glenbrook North High School in 1968 but had the vision to set his biggest high school hits in the current-day 1980s. He also used Northbrook as a movie set for several films, including 1986’s Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.

Check out this link to find out where he shot those scenes that are burned into our memory as deep as the sultry sounds of Kajagoogoo. Which was an awesome band, by the way.
