It’s not a done deal just yet, but the word from Carol Ann Walls-Sandell of Jameson Real Estate is that all nine of the Chantico South condos at 1621 S Carpenter St in Pilsen are close to receiving FHA approval, meaning (among other things) that buyers who take the FHA loan route can purchase a home there with a 3.5-percent down payment. One- to three-bedroom homes are priced from the $190s to the $400s.
Lipe Property Company‘s new-construction companion to the neighboring Chantico Lofts is also participating in National City Bank‘s NCHAMP financing program, which gives qualified buyers a 1.5-percent interest rate discount on their home loans. Buyers can only take advantage of one program, Sandell says.
I met Sandell at Chantico South this morning to shoot some video of the development’s three models. I’ll post that up in the near future, but for now you’ll have to settle for these photos, including interior shots of the building’s one- and two-bedroom single-floor units, its street-facing split-level home, its back decks and its direct views of the University Village and the downtown skyline.
