The Old Town standby Ranalli’s (1925 N. Lincoln Ave., 312-642-1300) is open for business again after a months-long shut-down for remodeling–and perhaps to give way to the condo construction occuring, almost literally, all around it.
The condos, done in the same orange brick as the restaurant, look like they are shaping up, and the restaurant itself has had a minor facelift, too. It’s also undergone a name change. As the new sign hanging over the sidewalk indicates, the place is now called Ranalli and Ryan’s.
There’s a grand opening party this Friday with live music and giveaways. While the interior has seen a few changes, the massive outdoor patio remains the same. If you’ve been missing it, get there fast before the weather turns mean.
