Construction is slated to begin in late fall on The Landings of Chicago, 135 condos planned near Midway Airport on the Southwest Side, according to Ivelisse Martinez, a sales and marketing agent with Red Seal Homes, the developer. A sales trailer will open on site in October, she says. Deliveries are slated for the spring of 2009.
Haylock Design, Inc., based in Gurnee, is designing the project, which comprises three four-story condo buildings and one commercial building, planned for the site of a former car repair business at 4259 S Cicero Ave.
Condos with one or two bedrooms range from the $180s to the $310s, with indoor, heated parking included, according to Martinez. Standard finishes include hardwood floors in the living areas, carpeting in the bedrooms, stainless steel appliances and granite countertops.
