Despite all of my trips to the South Loop this year, I haven’t once come back with a picture of 1400 Museum Park. It’s been a year since we’ve posted a photograph of the building. Now it’s up and 65 percent of its homes have closed, so we’re definitely overdue for a shot of the finished product.
Ralph Oliva of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage says that only 16 of the tower’s 260 homes remain unsold. They range from one-bedrooms priced just under $400,000 to two-bedrooms priced in the $700s, he says.
Unlike The Enterprise Companies‘ One Museum Park or Walton on the Park, the Pappageorge / Haymes-designed tower at 100 E 14th St caters primarily to first-time buyers, as do the 1600 Museum Park tower under construction at 1621 S Prairie Ave and the Museum Park Place tower at 1901 S Calumet Ave, Oliva says.
