Lakeside Lofts nearing closeout in South Loop

Caption

As we’ve noted in recent weeks, the South Loop currently has more unsold new-construction condos than any other Chicago neighborhoods, but most of those homes are located in high-rises. If you’re in the market for a low-rise or mid-rise condo, a loft, or in the case of Lakeside Lofts, a soft loft, your options are a bit more limited. That could be a boon for Bluestone Development’s 96-unit development, which Coldwell Banker agent Nadine Ferrata says is still attracting plenty of interest.

Coldwell Banker took over sales of the twin buildings at 2035 S Indiana Ave about three months ago. Since then, Ferrata has sold three homes, and several potential buyers have requested multiple showings.

Green design is one of the selling points at Lakeside Lofts, as the building features a green roof on top of the parking garage that’s located between the two buildings. The homes come with thermal pane windows and energy-efficient hot water heaters and heating / cooling systems.

All seven remaining “lofts” are corner units with two bedrooms and two baths, and they’re priced from the $260s to the $320s. Each of the homes has been finished out with about $13,000 worth of upgrades, and all seven are ready for immediate delivery, Ferrata says.
