One of the larger condo projects in Tri-Taylor is The Village at Tri-Taylor, 900 S Western Ave, which has eight condos for sale from the $280s to the $310s, according to Carola del Rio, a sales agent with Jameson Realty, which is marketing the project.
The eight condos being built are phase one of a larger project comprising of 40 condos along the 900 block of South Western Avenue, del Rio says. Alliant Development, Inc. is the developer.
“When I went to look in the area, I thought there was headway made already on Western Avenue in terms of condominium developments that have preceded, even though it’s still an area with a lot of growth potential,” she says. “We’re not the pioneers, but a path has been created…and I thought the timing was really good for this next project to come along.”
The five-story building will have two retail spaces on the ground level, according to del Rio. All of the condos have two baths, two bedrooms and are about 1,200 square feet with 10- to 10.5-foot ceiling heights, she says. Each unit also has a private elevator entrance. Outdoor-gated parking is available for $15,000, she adds.
Deliveries for the first eight units are scheduled for December, and the other 32 are scheduled to follow in winter 2008, she says. She predicts the condos will be popular with buyers who have been priced out of the South Loop or those who live near the area but are looking to move farther west.
